As the second attempt of “train and orient resource people on tobacco and alcohol control district vise”, this time we selected doctors including MO/NCDs, MOMHs and MOH doctors from Uva, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces. Previously same workshop was conducted for the doctors in Western and Southern provinces. This program series is conducted by National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol along with Ministry of Health.
This time workshop was conducted successfully on 5th and 6th of June 2017 as a residential workshop at National Institute of Mental Health, Angoda with the participation of 35 doctors.
Program was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Diyanath Samarasinghe and Dr. Jayamal De Silva (consultant psychiatrist).
Few doctors who were being trained in the previous program also participated this time. They shared the experiences and work they did with the community with the audience to show what they have gained from this workshop.
