TOT - Trainings for Trainers
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol successfully conducted the Capacity Building Workshop (Phase II) for Authorized Officers on Enforcement of the NATA Act and Cessation and Prevention of Tobacco and Alcohol on 11th December 2025 at Sethsiripaya Stage II.
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol successfully conducted an awareness program on the cessation and prevention of tobacco and alcohol for the PHIs attached to the Colombo Municipal Council on 09th December 2025 at the Colombo Municipal Auditorium.
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol successfully conducted a Training of Trainers program on the cessation and prevention of tobacco and alcohol use for the field officers at the Divisional Secretariat Office, Ganewatta, on the 7th of November 2025.
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol successfully conducted a workshop on the cessation and prevention of tobacco and alcohol for the Public Health Inspectors of the Municipal Councils on the 28th of October 2025 at Sethsiripaya, Stage II.
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol successfully conducted the Capacity Building Workshop (Phase I) for Authorized Officers on Enforcement of the NATA Act and Cessation and Prevention of Tobacco and Alcohol on 10th October 2025 at Sethsiripaya Stage II.
The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol successfully conducted a workshop for all Food and Drug Inspectors across the island on 15th August 2025, focusing on the enforcement of the NATA Act and the cessation and prevention of tobacco and alcohol.

Certificate course for counselling
2025 - Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Certificate Course of Counseling on Cessation and Prevention of Tobacco and Alcohol (Fifth Intake) was held on 12th December at the BMICH, during which 50 candidates were awarded certificates.
2024 - The certificate awarding ceremony for the Certificate Course of Counseling for Cessation and Prevention of Tobacco and Alcohol - fourth batch, took place on April 30, 2024, at Sethsiripaya Stage II, Battaramulla. We were honoured to have Dr. P.G. Mahipala, Secretary, Ministry of Health, grace the occasion as the chief guest, alongside the participation of the esteemed lecture panel and other distinguished guests. NATA extend our gratitude to the faculty of the course and all others who contributed to its success.
